Prospecta is expanding its portfolio by introducing the flagship of the fire safety range, the I504FLEXAR cable.
Part of the I50XFLEXAR family, this cable was created to meet the need to connect the fire-fighting systems of distant buildings; more specifically, the I504FLEXAR was designed to connect, via an external section, the fire-fighting system to sensors or power plants located outside the main structure.
In its composition, each cable belonging to the I50XFLEXAR range features anti-rodent armor made of galvanized steel braid, which protects the cable from rodent attack, and a polyethylene sheath that makes it water resistant. Another important characteristic conferred by polyethylene, given the greater hardness of the material, is greater mechanical strength, as well as abrasion resistance, thus facilitating the installation and laying phase of the cable.
The product can also be purchased ready-made with customized cutting in a reel depending on the customer’s needs; the range is currently available in the following formations: 2×1.5 – 2×2.5 – 4×1.5.
All items in this category, having the same composition as the fire cables in our range, retain the same transmission characteristics.
Furthermore, being specifically designed for outdoor installation, the I50XFLEXARs lose the characteristics necessary for suitability for the CPR class, provided for by the CEI 20-105V2 product standard; therefore, it is necessary to create, at the cable entry point inside the building, the connection via an appropriate junction box while continuing the section with CPR-certified fire-resistant cable, for example IC504FLEX.
